Roland's Best Ever Piano Tones In A Portable Instrument
The FP90x is equipped with a large selection of Roland's best-ever piano voices. Powered by their acclaimed PureAcoustic Piano Modeling sound engine, the FP90x offers a choice of 14 different acoustic piano tones including Concert Pianos, Stage Pianos, Mellow Piano, Upright Piano, Honky Tonk and many more. Furthermore, it is possible for you to personalize and store your own piano tones using the Piano Designer function.
My Stage - Select Your Preferred Performance Environment
“My Stage” is a function that lets you select your preferred piano and performance environment while at home. This function reproduces the sound and resonance that you would experience when playing in locations such as a concert hall, church, or rehearsal studio on a grand piano that’s ideally matched for that location.
PHA-50 Keyboard Action
The FP90X's 88 key keyboard is known as the PHA-50 model and uses a wood and plastic hybrid key structure. The white keys are ivory-feel and the black keys have a simulated ebony feel. The escapement mechanism gives a true grand-piano feel.
Additional Instrument Sounds
As well as a great selection of acoustic piano sounds, the FP90X features a total seventy other sounds & voices ranging from classic e.piano's clavs, harpsichord and organ voices to synthesizer, bass and orchestral tones. There are also 255 GM voices too.
Record Your Performance
Using the onboard song recorder, it's possible to record your performance as either SMF (Standard MIDI File) format or WAV audio format. This is handy for practice purposes or for sharing your music with friends and family.
Bluetooth Capabilities
Roland instruments have been at the forefront of Bluetooth technology for many years now, and the FP90X doesn't disappoint. You can use Roland's own Bluetooth-compatible app “Piano Every Day” or playback audio from your smartphone through the built-in speaker system.
Microphone Input
You can connect a dynamic microphone (sold separately) to the Mic Input jack and sing while playing. There are independent volume controls for both the song backing and microphone input. Add digital effects to your voice including compressor, doubling and echo.
Registration Memories
Tone settings and performance settings such as Dual Play or Split Play can be saved as a “registration” and recalled whenever you like. This unit has five registration buttons ([1]–[5]), and you can save nine different registrations under each button. This means that you can save as many as 45 registrations. An entire group of 45 registrations is called a “Registration Set." and these complete sets can be saved to USB memory (not included) freeing up more space for you to store even more of your favourite sound combinations.
Equalizer
You can use the equalizer to modify the tone colour by boosting or reducing just the low, mid or high-frequency range of the sound. Ideal for adjusting the tone of the instrument to suit a particular room environment.
