Supplied with a beautiful Nocturne Concert leather button-top piano stool and the excellent Yamaha HPH-150 headphones that are designed to give the very best sound quality when used with Yamaha digital pianos - especially those with binaural sampling on the headphone output.

Optimally tuned for listening to electronic musical instruments, HPH-150 headphones offer excellent tonal projection, with a crisp, clear sound that you won't tire of even after prolonged use, and superb sound separation ensuring that each and every sonic detail is reproduced accurately. Featuring small, soft, light-weight velour ear pads, a swivel mechanism that allows the driver unit to turn 90 degrees to fit the angle of your ears, and a headband that allows smooth adjustment of its length, HPH150 headphones are designed to provide a comfortable, stress-free listening experience, hour after hour.

This premium Concert Package also includes a beautiful matching adjustable-height genuine leather Nocturne brand concert piano stool. The perfect piano stool for the discerning pianist. This solo adjustable piano stool is finished in black gloss with empire style legs. The large buttoned seat is thickly padded and upholstered in Genuine leather. This is very similar to the type of piano stool that you would find on concert stages or music studios and provides support and comfort for extended periods of piano playing. Real Acoustic Grand Piano Action

The N1x is equipped with a true grand piano action featuring the complete mechanism - long wooden keys, balance pins, hammers, whippen, jack etc. The only difference is there are no strings - the sound is produced using cutting edge digital sampling techniques, and replayed through a very high-quality amplification system which immerses the player in sound.

This collaboration of technologies ensures the expression of the performer is translated to the instrument just like an acoustic piano. The experience is just like that of playing a concert grand piano. The keyboard action of the N1x is extremely fast and note repetition is much higher than that of upright pianos and traditional digital pianos - this is because grand piano actions use gravity to return to their original position and key repetition is up to two-times faster than that of an upright piano.

The N1x gives a grand piano playing experience in an instrument which is no larger than a standard Yamaha U1 upright piano.

We use our own dedicated piano delivery experts and also specify a time of delivery (we'll also call you on the day to try and be as exact as possible!). The authentic feel of a grand piano pedal

The N1x features a damper pedal that recreates the subtle changes in resistance experienced when using a grand piano pedal. What's more, the Nl X's damper pedal allows you to use the same half -pedal techniques that you would with a grand piano, offering detailed control over sustain and reverberation .

A fully immersive headphone experience

Thanks to our advanced binaural sampling* technology, the sound you hear through your headphones is remarkably lifelike. This technology uses pia no samples recorded by specialized microphones that capture location information and other nuances discerned by the human ear. USB audio recorder

The USB to Device port allows you to connect your USB flash drive and use it as a built -in piano recording studio. You can store your performances directly on the USB flash drive as audio songs . These songs are stored in WAV format, so you can listen back using the keyboard 's on-board speaker system , or conveniently play them on a computer, transfer them to a portable media device or upload them to share with friends online.

Spatial Acoustic Sampling, Spatial Acoustic Speaker System

Treating the soundboard not simply as a point source of sound but as a plane, Yamaha took recordings at four positions, adding optimum centre and rear locations to the traditional left and right. Meanwhile, the AvantGrand speaker system has been designed to ensure that this sound is heard best at the playing position. A three-way system featuring woofer, mid -range and tweeter speakers precisely reproduce the rich natural resonance of the soundboard. Even more, each of the low-, mid-, and high-frequency bands has been given its own amplifier to prevent interference between bands.

Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM)

In a grand piano, strings and sounds resonate throughout the entire body of the instrument producing a rich reverberation that envelops the listener in sound. Not only are the strings you are playing vibrating , but other strings ring as a reaction to ones you play . This is one reason the piano sound is so complex and rich.

This phenomena is reproduced perfectly in the AvantGrand N1X through Virtual Resonance Modeling {VRM) which calculates the various states of the strings for each of the 88 notes on the keyboard from one instant to the next. As a result, the N1X reflects the limitless number of factors inherent in playing an acoustic piano such as which keys are pressed , the strength with which the keys are played and pedal timing.
