Yamaha FG5 Red Label Acoustic Guitar; Heritage Natural
Yamaha FG5 Red Label Acoustic Guitar; Heritage Natural
Inspired by their iconic 'red label' guitars of the 1960s, the new FG Red Label folk models seamlessly blend modern inspiration with timeless design. With a classic semi-gloss finish and high-quality components, FG Red Label guitars capture an authentic vintage aesthetic.
The mahogany back and sides are paired with a premium Sitka spruce top, treated with our Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (ARE) process for a genuine aged-wood tone and sustain. A new scalloped-bracing design ensures plenty of volume and a natural, balanced acoustic tone.
The new FG Red Label guitars sound and feel like you've been playing them for years, right from the very first note. They feature 1960s aesthetics and modern craftsmanship, refined over more than 50 years of Yamaha guitar development. The new scalloped bracing patterns provide a warm, powerful tone with deep lows and rich harmonics, while the ARE treatment imparts the sound and sustain of aged wood. With all-solid construction, including a Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge, these guitars are designed for a superior playing experience.
