Much in keeping with their track record, the Ethereal is yet another example of Wampler taking an effect that is often shrouded in over-complication and mystery and made it accessible to all whilst still maintaining top tier, professional sound quality and performance. The Ethereal is an ambient pedal designed to cleft open a portal to the heavens and funnel your guitar signal through it. You can create huge sweeping beautiful landscapes of tone, all within one pedal.
Ease of Use
The main goal of the Ethereal is to make all of this functionality simple and easy to use. You can control the fully-fledged reverb and the, not one but, two delays, all with only 5 knobs. You can go from fairly modest, shimmering recognisable tones all the way to an alternate dimension in the blink of an eye. There’s also a really easy button to switch between delay modes to things like dotted eighth and triplet delay patterns to create beautifully shifting, syncopated patterns effortlessly.
Preservation
The Ethereal does all of the above without losing your, or your guitars’, signature. Wampler have managed to engineer it to keep your signal intact. Your signal is split as soon as it enters the pedal. Your dry tone is left untouched and the effected signal is then laid back on top. This ensures that you never lose sight of what makes your rig your rig, even whilst out exploring the outer reaches of our solar system.
