The Comp Engine is an OTA (Operational Transconductance Amplifier) compressor designed to provide transparent levelling and enhanced sustain. It features independent controls for Sustain, Attack, and Level, allowing the user to dictate how aggressively the compressor reacts to the initial transient of the note. The circuit is voiced to maintain the natural frequency response of the guitar, making it suitable for always-on applications where dynamic consistency is required without colouring the fundamental tone.
