Perzina UP127 Upright Piano; Black Polished

Perzina UP127 Upright Piano; Black Polished

Established in Germany in 1871, the Perzina Brothers produced beautifully crafted pianos in Europe for a number of decades gaining prominence as one of the finest manufacturers of acoustic pianos. In more recent years, the Perzina name was revived under a collaboration between Dutch and Chinese entrepreneurs Ron Bol and Sun Qiang, who moved production from Germany to a brand new Chinese factory in Yantai, in 2003. It is in this factory where 5000 Perzina upright pianos are meticulously hand-crafted each year.

Perzina’s UP-127 model features all the elements of the rest of the UP series of upright pianos, with the addition of Agraffes. These allow for the string’s speaking length to be precisely chosen, acting as termination points for the strings, and in turn creating the cleanest possible vibrations. Tuning stability is also improved with the inclusion of agraffes - which are most often found on grand pianos.

ESQ Certification
The original scale designs and German tradition are still maintained in the production of today’s Perzina pianos, as well as many European parts which are shipped to the factory for production. Perzina have been awarded the “ESQ” certification, meaning that a minimum of 90% of the materials used in the piano production come from European countries, including France, England and Austria. The result of European tradition and materials combined with Chinese manufacturing is a brand delivering high quality instruments designed to rival even the biggest European names, while offering affordability and value for money.

The Finest Quality C. Bechstein Hammers
Perzina upright pianos use C. Bechstein hammers, which are otherwise exclusive to C. Bechstein and W. Hoffmann models. An incredible depth of tone and range of dynamics is possible with C. Bechstein’s bespoke hammer heads, which are designed to be voiced with great precision to ensure each instrument achieves the best and most consistent sound across all registers.

Floating Soundboard
Each model features a floating convex soundboard made from solid spruce. The nature of the floating soundboard allows for more flexibility in the piano’s bridge, which gives a longer speaking length of string, making the instruments sound larger than they are. Even the more compact models have a tone and sustain to rival larger instruments from other brands.

Agraffes
Usually associated with grand pianos, agraffes offer an improved alternative to the cost-saving pressure bar that is found on most upright piano models. The speaking length of each string can be carefully measured with individual agraffes, resulting in a much truer tone and the cleanest possible vibrations.
