Keyboard Action
Kawai's highly acclaimed Millenium 3 action delivers exceptional sensitivity and control, using carbon fibre infused ABS components for increased strength and stability. This innovative design results in a lighter, faster, and more reliable action that enhances expression and dynamic range. It also reduces mechanical noise and ensures long-term durability. Longer keys and concert-length key buttons make for an easy playing feel while giving great power.

Tapered Spruce Soundboard
Produced from straight-grained, quarter-sawn solid spruce, Kawai’s soundboards are tapered to increase surface area, maximising the resonance and tonal richness of the instrument. The soundboard design and materials enable the piano to produce a vibrant, clear sound with impressive sustain and dynamic range.

CORE System
The CORE system is a structural feature in selected Kawai grand pianos that focuses the piano's strength centres towards a central point. The GL50 benefits from this system, meaning that the rim, plate, and underside beams of the piano converge at a metal connector in the centre of the instrument. This creates a solid core foundation to maximise the rim's reflective capabilities, resulting in greater power, longer sustain, and a more resonant tone.
