The Kawai CN301 digital piano is the perfect piano for pianists who want something a little better than an entry-level model without the expense of a flagship model. The CN301 features the legendary Shigeru Kawai SK-EX Concert Grand Piano sound, as well as the improved Responsive Hammer III keyboard action.

The large OLED display, along with the intuitive panel button layout makes it easy to access all the extra sounds and functions that the CN301 has to offer. This instrument is compatible with the Kawai PianoRemote and PiaBookPLayer score viewer apps from your touchscreen iOS or Android devices.

The top-facing speaker configuration has been upgraded over previous models using Kawai 360 degree diffuser panels. This means that a natural sound is heard from everywhere in the room.

The Kawai CN301 benefits from a total of 45 sounds, with a maximum polyphony of 256 notes. The onboard metronome offers all the popular time signatures, as well as 100 drum rhythms to make practice more fun!

An onboard USB Audio Recorder allows you to record your performance in high-resolution audio .WAV files which can be shared with friends & family or uploaded to the internet for the whole World to hear.

Spatial Headphone Sound (SHS) enhances the headphone sound output so that the piano sounds just as good with earphones, as it does through its own internal 20w + 20w speaker system.

Colour Options & Package Bundles
The CN301 is available in Black, Rosewood and White cabinet finishes, and Bonners Piano Centres offer various package options that include headphones and a piano stool - so there is certainly something to suit your needs and budget.

More Information

Improved RHIII keyboard action
A very important consideration when buying a new piano is the 'feel' of the keyboard - known as the Keyboard Action. A good keyboard action will ensure the player feels connected to the instrument and results in a more enjoyable playing experience. The Kawai CN301 features an improved RHIII keyboard with cushioning & a new mid-rail to reduce both mechanical noise by 10% and prevent release 'bounce'.

45 Instrument Sounds
The CN301 features an extended sound set that contains the sound of 45 different instruments including a choice of acoustic grand & upright pianos, electric pianos, organs, strings, choir, synthesizers, bass voices, guitars, and many others. Two sounds can be layered together or split across the keyboard so you play one voice with your right hand and another with the left.

Metronome
Practice with a metronome is very important to improve your timing. The CN301 has a built-in metronome that offers all the popular time signatures.

Internal Song Recorder
When practicing, the ability to be able to record and listen to your performance is very useful. The CN301 allows up to 10 songs to be recorded into it's internal memory. The total memory capacity is 90,000 notes. You can use the recorder to either record a complete performance, or just record one hand part of a piece and practice the other part whilst playing back the recording.

USB Audio Recorder
The USB Audio Record allows you to record your performance as .WAV audio files for easy sharing with friends and family. You can also playback MP3 files using the onboard audio player. A USB memory stick is required for audio recording and playback.

Headphones
It is possible to connect two sets of headphones to the Kawai CN301 for practicing without disturbing others in the household. The headphone output is enhanced with Kawai's Spatial Headphone Sound (SHS) to make playing with headphones just as enjoyable as through the instrument's own speaker system.

Bluetooth
There are two types of Bluetooth connectivity in the context of digital pianos. Bluetooth Audio allows you to stream the sound from your portable device through the speaker system of the CN301. This means you can playalong with backing tracks produced on the device or streamed from the internet. Bluetooth MIDI allows the digital piano to communicate with a wide variety of music-related apps from Kawai and other third-party developers, providing an exciting way to enjoy the piano without the need for additional adapters or cables. Kawai's PianoRemote app uses Bluetooth MIDI to communicate with the CN301.

Reverb Effect
The reverb effect adds ambience to the overall sound of the piano. There are various different reverb settings to give the effect of playing on stage, in a concert hall or in a cathedral, plus many more. Reverb adds a nice 'professional touch' to the overall sound.

Pedals
The CN301 has three metal piano pedals that perform just like a grand piano - damper (sustain) with half-pedal support, soft and sostenuto.

Amplification & Speakers
A powerful 20w + 20w amplifier drives two 13cm speakers, as well as 2 x 8x12cm oval top speakers to give the best sound possible at this price point. The top speakers are fitted with 360-degree diffuser panels to distribute the sound evenly in the room.

External Connections
Two headphone connectors are provided so that more than one person can hear the sound of the CN301 at the same time. Standard ¼" Jack outputs are available for connection to external amplification. The USB to Host connection is to be used for connection to computers, and there are two pedal connectors (DAMPER + PEDAL).
