The Ibanez Genesis Collection RG550-PN Purple Neon is a fantastic reissue of the original model that changed the face of rock and metal guitar forever when it made its debut back in 1987. The body has the classic deep cutaways and sharp contours that make the RG guitars so recognisable and is complemented by a vibrant Road Flare Red finish. Basswood construction promotes a snappy midrange that suits high gain settings and is super lightweight for those long playing sessions.
Unlike the original, this guitar features a 5-ply maple and walnut neck that adds significant stability so you can really dig in. The Super Wizard HP neck profile, flat fretboard and jumbo frets are perfectly engineered for fast, articulate playing so you can effortlessly power your way through all 24 frets with total precision.
Tuning stability is accomplished with a double-locking Edge tremolo bridge that can perform extreme dive bombs and return to perfect pitch in a way that needs to be experienced to be believed. In addition, the HSS set up with a V7 in the neck, S1 in the middle and V8 at the bridge will guarantee you can be heard even in the busiest of mixes.
