The Gretsch G2622 Streamliner Center Block is designed for players who need the classic double-cutaway aesthetic without the feedback issues typically associated with hollow-body guitars. At the heart of this instrument is a chambered spruce center block that runs the length of the body, reinforcing the laminated maple top while significantly reducing unwanted resonance at higher volumes. This construction allows for a thinner, more manageable body depth that remains lightweight and comfortable for long performances. Finished in a rich Walnut Stain, the guitar features enlarged F-holes for increased acoustic projection and "Big Block" pearloid inlays that provide a nod to Gretsch’s mid-century heritage.

The sonic character of the G2622 is driven by a pair of high-output Broad’Tron BT-2S humbucking pickups, which were specifically engineered for the Streamliner collection. These pickups offer a robust low-end response and a punchy midrange, making the guitar capable of handling everything from clean jazz runs to saturated rock tones with clarity. The control layout is intuitive yet versatile, featuring a master volume, master tone, and individual pickup volume controls to allow for precise tonal blending. A fast-playing nato neck with a thin "U" profile and a 12-inch radius laurel fingerboard ensures a modern feel, while the anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and Gretsch V-Stoptail provide reliable tuning stability and excellent string-to-body vibration transfer.
