First introduced in 2003, the Songwriter combines Gibson’s time-honoured bracing patterns of the 1930’s with the original dreadnought shape, providing a supreme tonal quality. 

Featuring beautiful Rosewood back and sides paired with a Sitka Spruce Top.

The Songwriter is Gibson’s modern rosewood dreadnought with a superior dynamic range. The EC in the name meaning "Electric Cutaway", showcasing two of the reasons this instrument is known for its versatility. The cutaway allows you to use more of the gorgeous rosewood neck, and the Fishman Prefix Plus-T electronics allow your sound to be amplified to the masses in the greatest quality and it allows you to tune on the fly with the built-in tuner.
