Fender American Professional Classic Stratocaster; Rosewood Fingerboard, Faded Dakota Red
Fender American Professional Classic Stratocaster; Rosewood Fingerboard, Faded Dakota Red
This is the Strat everyone’s talking about — the new American Professional Classic Stratocaster. Part of Fender’s latest series, it’s got all the vintage character you’d expect, but with some seriously thoughtful updates that make it feel built for today’s players.
It’s loaded with Coastline '57 single-coil pickups, which are full of warmth, clarity, and that unmistakable Strat sparkle. You get the classic SSS setup with a reverse-wound middle pickup to keep things hum-free, plus a 5-way switch and Fender’s clever Greasebucket tone circuit that lets you roll off the highs without losing clarity.
The neck is where it really starts to feel special — it’s a comfy Modern "C" shape with a satin finish that just feels right the moment you pick it up. It’s got a Rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius and 22 frets, so whether you’re chording or bending, it’s smooth sailing all the way. White dot inlays keep things familiar, while staggered ClassicGear tuners give you solid tuning stability with a bit of vintage flair.
Other touches include a synthetic bone nut (42.8 mm wide), a standard truss rod with an American Series nut, and a solid 4-bolt neck joint. And let’s not ignore the finishes — custom-faded colours that look like they’ve aged gracefully over time, straight out of the case.
Whether you're gigging, recording, or just jamming at home, the American Professional Classic Strat feels like a guitar you've known for years — only better. It’s a new chapter for the Stratocaster.
