The Epiphone Explorer from their Inspired by Gibson Collection offers the tone and look of the original 1958 classic with some welcome updates for increased playability.

Instantly recognisable, the body is crafted from solid mahogany for massive sustain and a warm tone. Mahogany also provides a strong midrange to your sound that allows your guitar parts to sit really well in a band environment. The gloss Ebony finish and contrasting white pickguard accentuate every angle and curve, further highlighting the unique body shape.

The Mahogany neck features a comfortable SlimTaper™ profile that supports the hand while also being incredibly fast and smooth. 22 medium jumbo frets adorn the 12” radius Laurel fingerboard providing clear, well-intonated notes and massive bends right up to the top of the neck.

Epiphone have really nailed it with their new ProBucker™ pickups. They have carefully recreated the legendary PAF tone with authentic features including 18% nickel silver casings, sand-cast Alnico II magnets and vacuum wax potting for an astonishingly dynamic, rich sound. The bridge pickup has been overwound for a higher output while the neck retains a vintage voice that will sound gorgeous through any amp.

Topping things off, the Epiphone Explorer boasts high quality nickel plated hardware including a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover machine heads for rock-solid tuning stability and total reliability night after night.
