Dexibell Vivo SX8 High Quality MIDI Sound Expander
The Dexibell SX8 is a hardware sound expander that enables you to add stunningly high-quality sounds to your existing studio setup, keyboard or digital piano. The SX8 connects via USB or standard 5-pin MIDI connectors.
3.2GB onboard memory is pre-loaded with some of the best acoustic pianos, organs, e.p's, orchestral, synth sounds, claves, percussion and more - all sampled at 24 bit linear - 48 KHz (Internal processing and DSP at 32 bit floating). Better still, it is possible to completely customise the sound set to suit your individual musical needs by downloading new sounds from the Dexibell website, or by importing industry-standard Soundfont files.
Weighing just 2KG, the SX8 brings all the benefits of Dexibell technology in a compact, lightweight external module, designed for desktop or rackmount use. The modern design of this instrument looks superb - whether placed in a studio environment, or in the home, for example with an existing digital piano instrument.
Tonewheel & Pipe Organ Voices
A new feature for the SX8 model is the inclusion of Dexibell's Virtual Tonewheel and Pipe organ voices. You can create your own Organ Registrations using the onscreen "Virtual Drawbars" (complete with Rotary, Overdrive, Vibrato/Chorus effects), and store your sounds to one of 100 user locations.
Effects
The SX8 can produce 9 simultaneous digital effects, plus studio-quality mastering tools including 5-band Digital Equalizer, Compressor, and Amp simulator.
Connections
There is a wide variety of pro-quality connectors on the rear of the SX8 module including MAIN Balanced XLR outputs (L/R), plus SUB Unbalanced OUTPUT jacks (L/MONO, R) 1/4-inch phone type. A front-mounted headphone jack is also available.
Two assignable footswitch inputs allow the connection of damper pedals, footswitches and expression controllers. The footswitch 1 input allows the connection of a progressive damper action pedal with sympathetic resonance simulation.
USB TO HOST allows MIDI & DIGITAL AUDIO IN/OUT, whilst the USB TO DEVICE connector is available for external memory devices and MIDI data.
Bluetooth
The Dexibell SX8 is equipped with both Bluetooth Audio streaming and Bluetooth MIDI BLE 4.2 capabilities.
