Casio CT-S1 Portable Piano Keyboard; White

Casio CT-S1 Portable Piano Keyboard; White

The Casio CT-S1 is a lightweight portable piano keyboard with 61 touch-sensitive, textured keys. Available in three different colour options - Black, White or Red, the CT-S1 is ideal for beginners, or as a practice instrument for more experienced musicians.

Overview

The CT-S1 has a very simple intuitive no-nonsense design, making it quick and easy to switch on and start playing. The bass-reflex speaker system means the CT-S1 sounds a lot 'bigger' than it's appearance! The Casio AiX sound source generates a realistic choice of piano and other instrument tones. The stylish streamlined design of the CT-S1 gives an overall look & feel of quality which is unusual for an instrument at this price point. There's even red felt behind the leys to keep things authentic when compared with an acoustic grand piano!

The CT-S1 keyboard has 61 keys (5 octaves) and is touch-sensitive, which means the sound responds both in volume and tone to allow for expressive playing. The keys offer a little more resistance than cheaper entry-level keyboards, which makes the CT-S1 an ideal instrument to introduce beginners to the piano, or as a practice/portable instrument for more experienced players.

The CT-S1 is supplied with a large music rest that slots into the back of the instrument. Power is provided by the included AC adaptor. The choice of 61 sounds is selected by pressing each of the seven voice category buttons and include acoustic & electric pianos, organs, other keyboard voices, synths and more. There are even effects available to give the authentic sound of classic keyboards from the '60s and '70s!

Connectivity

The CT-S1 has been designed to connect quickly and simply to a computer or tablet device. There is a USB MIcro socket on the rear of the instrument for a direct cable connection to your device, or you could use the separate USB port to connect an optional Bluetooth dongle (not supplied). This enables you to stream audio from your external device wirelessly through the speakers of the CT-S1. The Bluetooth dongle also provides USB MIDI communication.
